Family
Our vines have been lovingly planted and tended to by family and friends. We take great pride in our vineyard and in ensuring the quality of grapes is reflected in the artisan wine that is produced. Our emphasis is on enjoying the growing and wine making process and producing a wine that reflects the pure varietal character of the grape whilst still reflecting it's sense of place and location.
Small Batch Wine
Along with growing Chardonnay grapes, Mulberry Hill is among a small group of wineries on the Bellarine Peninsula growing Tempranillo grapes. The proximity to the ocean and terroir makes ideal growing conditions for the Tempranillo grape vine. The boutique nature of our vineyard means we only produce small batch single vineyard wines, resulting in truly unique and exclusive wines.
2022 Tempranillo
Our first vintage, the 2022 Tempranillo is bright ruby in appearance – a dichotomy of youthful fruit and savouriness on both the nose and palate. Aged in five year old French oak, you will experience natural acidity and fine tannin's with ripe cranberry, tobacco and spice flavour. The wine will develop and integrate for years to come.
2022 Chardonnay
Our 2022 Chardonnay has minimal filtering and has been fermented and aged in new French oak prior to bottling. It retains fruity tones but provides notes of vanilla as part of its oak aging.
2023 Tempranillo Rosé
Our newly released 2023 Tempranillo Rosé was made by highly regarded local winemaker Darren Burke. On the palate the wine has vibrant flavours of stone fruit and cherry, with a strong acid line and a savoury finish. Designed to be enjoyed on hot summer days paired with a charcuterie platter or fresh seafood.
2024 Tempranillo
Made by Darren Burke and due for release in March 2024, we are excited to taste what was an amazing Tempranillo crop.
